I came across this poor moth as it was dying...They don't live long as adults. (Fun fact-They have 'reduced mouth parts' and don't eat or drink!) Their sole purpose in the adult stage is to procreate and die within a week of emerging from the cocoon. What a beautiful specimen to have that lasts forever...
 
The vintage dish, is sealed shut permanently. Inside are fake/real foliage pieces adorned with a real, preserved, polyphemus moth, eternally resting peacefully atop the moss.
